I thought I'd have a go too - It's more difficult than it looks!
I couldn't decide what images to put on it, as FPS isn't all about L4D series now. So opted for the plain and simple green button and text

I have no idea on the dimensions of banners or anything, but I had a few spare moments at work today so thought I'd have a shot at a few banners too.

Great sigs make more. I would guess that COD6 and BC2 are the 4th and 5th most popular games so those would prob be good sigs.

The colors of the logo is a bit off, maybe if you tried finding a color that fit the color scheme of the background, it would look teh awesome

I went for a contrasting colour thinking that would look better. Here is a version of the BC2 logo in Red and in Blue
I also adjusted a couple of other little things too, like the amount of motion blur and background 'smoke'.
(You are right though, matching colours does look better)
