FPS Leadership Elections

Postby bootc » Thu Nov 12, 2009 10:47 pm

Since we've had so much difficulty getting a vote working in the group chat, I thought the best way to do it was here in the forums.

The vote here is for two additional admins on the chat, so that there can be someone else there to deal with potential problems should they ever arise - especially when me or ReverendO aren't there. Hopefully the voted admins will have very little work to do, but I fully expect both of them to leap into action should they be around and something goes awry in chat or whatnot.

You can vote for two candidates, and you can change your mind at any time. Please keep the discussion below civil or posts will be deleted.

The candidates were selected by nomination over several days in chat. If you wish to be removed from this list, please pm me (either on the forum or on Steam) and I'll remove you. Likewise if you wish to put yourself forward for nomination.

Thanks folks!

I'm gonna throw this out there since this affects the group as a whole. Leeloo, Nicomagi and I discussed the other night that since the US scene of the group is growing (which it is, we've had 5 or 6 in the chat at times), we are going to eventually need a US admin. Though I know that I am a little bias, its going to be a fact for the group.

Looking at the list we have from the US:
Big Mike
Lockwolf
Nicomagi
Vlad The Impaler

And from the Euro end:
Chufty
Forsaken
Kaine
NanX
sequestrum
Steel
Stu
274

Just something to keep in mind. (Btw, I endorse Forsaken for PRC Admin)

Sequestrum and Stu get my vote here. I'd vote for a US admin but you qualified it with "eventually", we can cross that hurdle when we get there :).

IMPORTANT NOTE

Postby bootc » Thu Nov 12, 2009 11:28 pm

IMPORTANT!

I can't change the list without resetting the vote. The following people have asked me not to be considered for the vote:

  • NanX
  • twosevenfour
Any votes for the above candidates will be ignored. Sorry!

I have cast my votes. (is it a secret ballot? i would have voted for 274-but respect his request to decline)

I also agree that there need to be admins from other regions too, as the 'Euro' admins will not be around at peak times for other countries.
[ReverendO is USA based, but we dont often see him in the chat.]

my votes go to forsaken and lockwolf, because...
  • they're both fine upstanding chaps of the highest calbre
  • one or both are in chat pretty much 24/7
  • between them they can cover both EU and US
  • er... that's it.
